Amaralingeswara swami Temple, Amaravathi

Amaravati is named as one of the ‘Punyakshetra’ due to the presence of Amreshwara Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Some of different forms of Shiva who is said to have five forms namely Pranaveswara, Agasteswara, Kosaleswara, Pomeswara and Parthiveswara can be found here. The 15 feet high Shiva Lingam is worshipped here. Sanctum of spouse of Lord Shiva, Bala Chamundika is placed on right side of hid sanctum. 4 Dravidian style temple towers have been built surrounding the temple. Buddhist style Mula Virat and lotus Medallion are placed in Garbha griha of the temple. Tower of sanctum sanctorum of this temple is built in the Dravidian architecture style
